SnippetKeys is a keyboard extension tailored to enhance efficiency by saving time. It enhances the iPhone or iPad keyboard by incorporating custom text snippets.

A snippet refers to a frequently used piece of text or a phrase, including email addresses, signatures, billing information, message replies, business emails, canned responses, favorite emojis, current date/time, locations, directions, or any other regularly used text.

Each snippet is represented by a button on the SnippetKeys keyboard. With one key dedicated to one snippet, users can instantaneously input complete phrases. Within the SnippetKeys configuration application, users have the freedom to create and organize numerous keys, categorize them into pages, and easily rearrange them through a drag-and-drop interface.

The keyboard extension encompasses all added snippets and seamlessly integrates across all applications, behaving akin to the standard keyboard. To activate the keyboard extension:

1. Open Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards
2. Select “Add New Keyboard”
3. Locate and select SnippetKeys

SnippetKeys functions as a utility keyboard without replacing the standard keyboard. Users can employ the standard keyboard for regular typing tasks and effortlessly switch to SnippetKeys for inserting canned phrases with just one tap.
